Farakunku Birds

Farakunku Lodges’ Accumulative Bird List  (Total:  220 species to date)
Most recent up-date:  April 2017. List compiled as from November 2009
Our guest season is from Early November to the end of March.
These are birds identified by our birding guests all seen in the grounds or within walking distance…this takes in a flooded quarry, local savannah and woods plus the local beach and shoreline, which can be enjoyed as part of a 2 hour self guided walk.
(Loosely listed in order of Barlow/Wacher reference book ‘Birds of the Gambia and Senegal’)
